Families may fill out an online application with basic information to be placed on the Centralized Eligibility List (CEL), where they will wait for available funding in subsidized child care programs for which they qualify.

Any family that has a child age 0-14 may submit an application to be placed on the CEL. Eligibility requirements for subsidized funding vary depending on the type of funding source that is available at the time that the family’s name comes up for enrollment.

Waiting time varies and will depend on funding availability, funding type, and the child’s place in the ranking. Ranking is based upon state requirements. A child’s ranking position changes regularly based upon families being added or removed and the state ranking requirements.
