Oliver’s Law
As a parent you have the right to get information about any substantiated or inconclusive complaints about a child care provider that you consider selecting for your child. The information is public and you can access it by calling the local licensing office.
Referral Policy
The information that will be provided is a referral, not a recommendation. Children’s Home Society of California (CHS) does not license, screen for quality of care, or endorse any provider. CHS does, however, offer education and information on selecting quality child care and encourages parents to visit child care providers before making their decision. We also offer information about selecting quality child care in our Choosing Child Care brochure. We encourage you to use this as a guide when selecting child care for your child.
